I’m Jessie and I create every piece of Spark Of Light jewellery from my home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.  I started Spark Of Light in 2014 out of a desire to find a way to work with crystals – I have always loved crystals and felt drawn to be around them.  I feel so blessed to have found this creative outlet!

I started out with wire wrapping stones in sterling silver wire, which I still enjoy doing today - it’s a wonderful way to enable natural raw stones to be worn that are tricky to set in other methods.  I moved on to learn silversmithing when my first son was a toddler, which I loved.  After some time away from the bench (being busy with my husbands building business and having another bub), I’m now including the lost wax casting method – where I create a wax model of the setting, send it away to be cast in to sterling silver, then clean it up, set the stones and finish the piece on the settings return.

I believe crystals hold information and energy from the time and space in which they were created, which is why certain stones are said to hold particular properties.  For me, crystals provide a reminder of the light and love that is all around us, and they can amplify many different positive qualities in our bodies and our lives.  You may feel this way too, or you might just think they are beautiful and feel great when you wear them!
